One thing that you should consider is that since you are buying the vanity used, it may not have everything that it originally came with, such a bench. That may mean that you will have to go shopping for vanity benches, and you may not be able to find one that matches the table, although that might not bother you.

Most scratches and stains can be fixed or covered by furniture polish, and after putting a bit of effort into making the piece beautiful, it can look as good as new. You will feel as if you have a new vanity for a fraction of the price.
